A BIT OF HISTORY:

  Former Interim Insecurity / Security “Liaison” to Medical Lieutenant Commander Drasch, chip, K-chip, Catsup, chipnow, Mudslide, Jack Redskairt, or just “Mudslide” as his now called for the ease of operations found his way onto the Casual when a merchant ship he was “aboard” came across a Casual party. The crew was never quite sure how he got there or what his name was, but he was useful around the ship so they let him stay. During their stay someone aboard the Casual had remarked that they were looking for some Red-Shirts to experiment on and the crew of the merchant vessel remembering, in their Casual induced state, that their stowaway was wearing a red “skairt”, invited him over to try something new*1.

Whether it’s his innate ability to adapt to any task, his supremely casual demeanor towards almost any task, or the ability to be called over by almost any name, Mudslide has seen many posts’ in the Casual including the Stealth Cryogenics Officer headed by the original Chief of Insecurity, Ogg; Interim Insecurity as appointed by the then departing Ogg; and Security.

It was his supremely casual (some say “disturbingly” casual) demeanor that led Commander John Thomas to promote him to the Security staff. Knowing that Mudslide could relax almost anywhere on the ship and be virtually unnoticed would allow him to double as undercover security and collect blackmail. Unfortunately for Commander Thomas, Mudslide’s other quality of being summoned by almost any name endeared him to the Beloved CMO Darvis and so they compromised and now he resides as Securities “Liaison” to Medical, but Mudslide can be found almost anywhere on the ship performing almost any duty in the name of “security”.

*1The actual conversation went something like this: "Hhey, uhhmm... ...uh... (...hey capin’? Wha di hheshay his name wuz again...) *muffled mumbling* ...OH! RIGHT! Redskairt! Yoo gatta come over here’n... *THUD*"
