A BIT OF HISTORY:

A wanderer by nature, Jon owns a small, fast cargo ship of Orion design. Having warrants issued for his arrest in several systems, he was looking for a place to hide until the heat was off. What he found was the Hotel Gemmorah, and the Casual. The same low morals that made him a highly wanted man allowed him to fit right in with the Casual's officers and crew. In fact, his talent for surviving bar brawls with his drink and buzz intact led then Captain Erickson to appoint Jon as the ship's Chief of Security.

On stardate 19503.06, while on a party supplies acquisition mission, Jon landed on the planet of Outer Scambodia. Unbeknownst to Jon, there was a run-down, ramshackle Borg cube orbiting the planet. The natives had been assimilated by the Borg who had crashed in a landing shuttle from the crippled and cut-off cube, but the planet only possessed mid 20th century level technology and the Borg were trapped on the surface. The Borg captured Jon and proceeded to Borgify him. He was able to escape because the Borg cerebral implants were completely shorted out by the amazingly high concentration of Gentleman Jack in Jon's brain. He used his link to the pathetic local Collective to get them all roaring drunk, allowing him to return to his Runaround and escape.

Upon returning to the Casual, Commander Thomas discovered that the appliances grafted onto him by the Borg were pretty neat. They also made him very popular with certain female members of the crew.

Jon can be found most often checking on the security of the Main Dispensary and in the hangar bay, where he spends an inordinate amount of time talking with his ship. His Yo!Woman!, Daphne Le Clerq, an Orion dominatrix, has recently joined him on the Casual, where she has been placed in charge of morale and discipline by Commander Thomas with the full approval of Commodore Erickson.
